Hard to Swallow?

In Welsh news this week the BBC reported a woman in Pembrokeshire has had a family of swallows move into her kitchen.

Far from being upset by this onslaught of feathered squatters, pensioner Pam Jones was said to be “delighted” by the birds building their nest in her kitchen.  Despite the fact that most people would find a bird flying around their kitchen a little hard to swallow, as an avid bird watcher and feeder Mrs Jones encouraged the family.  The nest is built of mud and straw and positioned on a picture frame in the kitchen.  Mrs Jones leaves her kitchen door open during the day to allow the parents to flit in and out with food for the young.

She told the BBC: “They really are gorgeous. I will be sorry to see them go.”

According to the BBC “the parents make full use of the kitchen perching on a Chinese ornament on the other side of the room.”  We presume this means they create some awesome home cooked food, but do not like to interpret so decide for yourselves.  It is not mentioned as to whether for the duration of their stay Mrs Jones has refrained from boiling eggs for breakfast so as to avoid causing offense.

Our man on the ground had this offering on today’s topic:

“Swallow is an anagram of Slow Law… coincidence… I think not.”

We have nothing to add to that.
