In rock and roll news this week, Brighton Hove City Council have told Pink Floyd’s David Gilmore that his beach hut is an eyesore, and
must go.
The beach hut, located on the grounds of the Star’s £3million seafront mansion has been condemned, and despite protests from his wife, the council have given him until the 1st October to pull it down or face prosecution. The most pressing issue facing the star now is where will he keep his bikes.
Fans of our man on the ground will know that he is situated in the Brighton area. As such his expenses are minimal, so we sent him out to investigate further. Having located a beach hut, with a person near it, he was able to procure us this comment on the situation:
“I’m Lost For Words. My family and I spent some of the The Happiest Days of Our Lives in the hut. It’s all about Money and currently I’m Biding My Time and waiting for The Trial. It’s brought a lot of Sorrow and appears to be a case of Us And Them. Most of the time the hut’s Obscured By Clouds, and I’ve asked the Council Hey You, What Do You Want From Me? Hopefully if we Keep Talking, One Of These Days we will be able to come to an agreement.”
It seems a bit late for that, but we do not actually know what Graham asked his source, so it could be true.
We asked our own, personal Rock Legend; Den, what he would do if the council told him his beach hut was an eyesore, and had to go. He offered us this by way of a comment:
