It’s A Bouncing Baby….

No, no.  That’s it.

Have you ever driven off having left something on the roof of your car?  A cup of coffee,

This car with things on its roof was provided by our very own Mr. Scullion. Give him a brief and he comes up trumps each time.

perhaps, or your handbag?  Well a nineteen-year-old woman from Phoenix, Arizona left her baby on the roof and drove off.

According to ABC News the woman drove off with the baby, strapped into a car seat, but left on the roof of the car.  It seems she did not even notice when the car seat flew off the roof and landed in the road, but did return for the child when she realised that it wasn’t with her any more.  The most impressive thing about the whole story is that despite some scratches to the car sear, the baby was totally unharmed.

If we knew what brand of car seat it was we would give them a plug here, as that is some sterling work.  The baby is now in the care of Child Protective Services.

Leaving things on the roof of the car is easily done, however, so we asked the fans
if they had ever left anything on the roof of their car and driven off.

Sooz said: “Yes! My purse! Drove from work to a petrol station and it was still there!”

Good job or she wouldn’t have been able to buy the petrol.

Well, that’s it for today, Nibblers, join us again tomorrow for something that’s bound to be interesting.  From all of us here at Newsnibbles have a good evening, and be safe in the snow.*

  1. Lucky for the baby! I attended a funeral once where the cars in procession were given a roof sign. After the services, I didn’t realize the sign hadn’t been collected and drove to a restaurant with the placard still aboard. Awkward.

The new sign off is nice!
