The B&E that Caused a Squee!
No really, it did. Bee made the most horrific squee sound when this one landed on her desk. For future reference, please direct any
fluffy animal related stories directly to the newsdesk, or to the interns, some of them can read. A New Zealand woman found an unexpected visitor on her sofa this week. A baby seal had entered through the cat flap and was making itself at home! Apparently the seal had been wandering the streets for some time before finding a suitably comfortable sofa to recline on. The home owner called animal protection, who released it back into the wild.

Remember, You’re A Womble!
The BBC has been bombarded with complaints from angry parents this week after Orinoko removed his head live on internet radio, revealing to viewers that he was in fact, a man in a Womble costume. The revelation that the genuine Wombles were not interviewed on Drive Time, has been said to have left children “horrified that the Wombles were not real.” This shocking event could have ruined Christmas for many children, hoping that the Wombles would visit them bringing presents on Christmas Eve. Here at Newsnibbles we recommend parents say something along the lines of “Wombles are very busy this time of year, and sometimes need to get people to stand in for some of their many media engagements.” This is something the interns came up with, and we are not sure how effective it will be.

It’s Not Easy Being Green
The recent trend for green hair in Sweden is apparently not a fashion statement. Locals in Anderslöv who were formerly blonde were finding their hair turning an interesting shade of green. Suspicion fell upon the drinking water, but this turned out to be a red herring. The culprit turned out to be copper pipes without coated interiors. The metal turns green when it oxidises, and the coppery water was resulting in green hair.
