As you know, here at Newsnibbles we do like to accessorise.  This latest accessory to come to our attention was a little out of our price range.  If

you have ever complained about spending 10p on a bag for life you may want to look away now.

The latest in paper bag accessories has hit the high street for the meagre price of £185 ($290).  Designed by Raf Simons this new Vasari ‘clutch bag’ is essentially a brown paper bag.  Not just any paper bag though, this one bears the name Jil Sander at the bottom in small letters.

Despite a negative reaction to the price of this environmentally friendly alternative to the old plastic bag from fashion bloggers, dedicated followers of fashion have rushed to purchase the item, which is reported to have sold out in the Jil Sander Soho store, and is also sold out online.

Our fashion/canine correspondent Annie Butler told us:

“Accessories can take a simple black dress from da office to a night on the town. They do be an excellent way to express your personality and make fashion fun.  I does be wearing shiny necklace in my Twitter picture.  Accessories do also helps people tell if you be a boy or a girl.”

[The Vasari bag is in the ‘Men’s’ collection, if anyone was wondering].

When we asked her whether any price was too high for the perfect fashion accessory she added:

“Price do not be object when it comes to looking posh. I just give Mom “the eyes” and she sorts it.  Only bags I has be poo bags.  But my best party frock was 40 American dollars.”

When we pushed about the whole $290 thing she said:

“Maybe if it had my name an foto on it in sparkles…She be sucker for Annies and sparkles….”

Well who doesn’t?
