Remember the one eyed mascot that adorned supermarkets in soft toy and t-shirt form?  Sure you do, he was everywhere, his one central eye following you as you shopped.  Well, a Cambridgeshire Couple have created a ten foot Santa version of everyone’s favourite mascot, using Lego!

According to the BBC Report the building of a large Lego character is an annual event in this household, and they choose a massive character to build out of the small plastic bricks each year as a sort of festive family activity.

In fact, last year the BBC reported on a giant Lego Dalek  made by the same family, using festively coloured red plastic bricks.

We think that getting together and building something as a family is just the most splendid way of getting the Festive juices flowing, and since these large Lego creations take a while to build, they should start feeling the festive spirit from early October.

Kate told us: “Food. (It isn’t really Christmas without the family recipe for shortbread-like cookies.)”

Christine told us: “I make my famous English toffee, and butter cut-out cookies. Among some other things.”

Chimp said: “Nut roast and roasted brussels sprouts. My friend Karen makes some nice toffee bars and Mrs Chimp sometimes makes marzipan fruits which are de-lish”

And from the Twittersphere we had the following responses:
