Jarvis Stretchered to Safety

Jarvis, a ten stone American Bulldog is recovering from a traumatic experience this week.  Whilst rambling across several peaks in the Lake

This is Annie being fiercely proud of being an American dog. We had no bulldogs, or mountains in the archive.

District with his owners when he slipped and fell into a lake.

His owners were unable to pull him up because he was stuck behind some rocks, and attempts to encourage him to swim to the other side failed because he was so exhausted from his week of rambling.  Things were looking bleak for Jarvis when his owners called in Mountain Rescue.  It took a team of twelve people several hours to stretcher Jarvis, who weighs approximately ten stone, to the campsite where he and his owners were staying.  Apparently he was too exhausted from his ordeal to walk.

Jarvis is not the only one who had a traumatic experience up a mountain.  Andrew told us that he had a traumatic mountain experience involving “evil goats”.  It is possible that he misunderstood their intentions though, as goats are highly social and may have just wanted to be friends.  It has been known for goats to die of loneliness, so if you see a lone goat why not ask it if it’s on Twitter?
