When Zombies Attack!

Well, you may remember that in 2011 we asked Was Anyone Really Prepared for a Zombie

Attack? This was in response to letters sent into a local council asking if they had a contingency in place.  Well, today, just two years on we have another Zombie related news article.  Coincidence?  Decide for yourselves.

The regular programming on KRTV, a Montana based TV Station was interrupted by an emergency message that the dead were rising.  People watching “Teen Cheaters Take Lie Detectors” (really) were shocked on Monday, when, rather than discovering whether or not he was really cheating (we are still wondering, the suspense may kill us, but probably won’t) a deep crackling voice warned that the dead were rising, but should not be approached.

According to the Yahoo News Report the network confirmed that hackers broke into their emergency broadcast system on Monday.  They are still investigating exactly what happened but the report stated that the hoax did not result in any calls to the police.

But what if it hadn’t been a hoax?  According to our American correspondent, Bee, Montana is north, near Canada and fairly rural, so would be the perfect place to start a zombie invasion, before moving south down the country to less rural areas.  Despite the fact that this was a false alarm, we think it is important to be prepared for the impending zombie apocalypse, so we asked the fans whether they were prepared for a zombie attack.

Denise said: “Are we expecting an attack?” – always be prepared is our motto.

Kat said: “Yea verily. Not if, but when.”

Eden said: “Do zombies like dog treats?”  Maybe if the dog treats taste like brains?

And from the Twittersphere we had the following response:

If anyone saw the broadcast live, we would love to know why you were watching Teen Cheaters Take Lie Detectors, and whether he was cheating or not.  Pop a comment below, thanks.
