Golf Balls Bombard Missouri!

Well, a whole new meaning was given to the term “April Showers” last week when a hail storm with ice the size of golf balls bombarded a small Missouri town.  The whole thing was caught on video as the massive balls of ice hit the floor and bounced back up.  Anyone hoping to practise their swing would have been well advised to wear protective headgear before braving the storm!

A Whole New Meaning to Marathon.

We all know the expression “it’s a Marathon, not a sprint”, but one woman is redefining the term.   Claire Lomas, a successful event rider was injured when she came off her horse, fracturing her spine, breaking her ribs and puncturing a lung.   She suffered paralysis and since 2007 has been working with physiotherapists to try to get her mobile again.  In an attempt to raise funds for Spinal Research, Claire has donned a robotic suit designed to help people who are paralysed walk, and is currently walking the London Marathon.

A Tasty Bit of Theatre!

Did you always fancy going to see a critically acclaimed New York play, but just felt that America was a bit far to go for a night out?  Well, you’ll be pleased to learn that David Harrower’s latest offering A Slow Air is currently playing at The Tricycle Theatre in London.  The Taste Theatre is offering half price tickets to this exciting event for the showing on May 15th, which includes a Q&A with actors Lewis Howden and Susan Vidler.
