He Feels His Way…
No, it’s not a quote from Grease but from one of the most inspirational figures to come to our attention in a long time. Im Dong-Hyun, a twenty-six-year-old South Korean is set to take the gold medal in archery at the London 2012 Olympics. The truly amazing thing about this is that he is legally blind. Whilst he can see colours, rather than 20/20 his vision is 20/200. We would like to wish him the best of luck in his Olympic journey.

Pigeon Fancier Conviction Quashed!
A seventy-six-year-old woman, and her forty-eight-year old daughter have won an appeal this week to have their conviction overturned. What conviction? We hear you cry. Well, they were convicted of feeding pigeons. After neighbours complained that the pigeons were becoming a nuisance the pair were issued with an abatement order, which they were convicted of flouting. However, this week a judge determined that there was not sufficient evidence that the pair had continued to feed the birds after they were asked to stop, and so the conviction has been overturned. All we can say is that Mary Poppins would find the whole thing most upsetting.

Yealmpton Bridge is Falling Down!
Well, not really, but it has been closed due to flood damage. Puslinch bridge has been a listed building since 1952, and recent heavy rainfall which has caused the River Yealm to flood has caused damage to the local landmark. For now the bridge has been closed to traffic. We found a YouTube video of the flood, and have embedded it below.
